Airiss and I decided to go to breakfast this morning and chose the quaint little Cracker Barrel to dine. I enjoy Cracker Barrel, because despite their reputation at times, I love their home cookin' style and find it to be a refreshing compared to the other flavorful options.

Well, we got off to a bit of a rough start since we were about 10 minutes behind schedule. However, we were able to make up time with my driving skills! We walked right in without having to wait and started viewing the menu. Airiss was a tad disappointed since she has gotten in a kick of having lunch for breakfast. If you know her...this isn't a surprise.

After several minutes I settled on the Smokehouse Breakfast, while Airiss chose the Tenderloin Steak n' biscuit and the Hashbrown Casserole. We haven't figured out WHAT exactly took soo long, but we just waited patiently while making fun of the people walking bad. Yes, we do that. Don't judge, it is harmless fun. :)

Soon after we had critiqued everyone in the dining area, our food arrived and Airiss, needless to say, was very disappointed. She looked at her biscuit and laughed...no joke, the "tenderloin" was smaller than the biscuit...the picture makes it look too good but it really wasn't. ha ha

Ignore the scraped ketchup.
this was after she cut it...I had her put it back together for the picture. She willingly did so for the cause.

We then began to debate whether to say something or not. We knew they would probably offer to replace it, however, we only had about 15 minutes before we had to leave and were not going to risk another long and involved wait.

*Side note: Airiss and I honestly believe that Cracker Barrel waitresses KNOW, from your facial expressions, when you are displeased. They all stayed a good 25 feet away from us for about 6minutes.*
During this time, I began to sample the rest of my lovely breakfast. Well, the gravy was not so lovely. Its name of "Sawmill Gravy" was rather appropriate, since it tasted just like the floor of a sawmill. Don't let the picture deceive you...it was grotesque.
Well, we finally got the waitress and she sent the manger, who was very sweet and actually told us that the portion was normal!!! I told her it was a rip off (in a nice way...if that is possible) and she agreed! The conversation resulted in the reimbursement of Airiss' biscuit :) and an earned knowledge that we would never be going to Cracker Barrel for breakfast again.

Despite the rather disturbing occurrences, we had a great time and a FULL morning...all before 9:30a.m. :)
I love my sister!! :D
