OK, so I feel bad for griping now! The brief went great today and the audience was very supportive, which made things go by quicker and less painfully! I presented about HoneyBaked Ham and my mom, HoneyBaked Ham’s Marketing Coordinator, was able to pull some strings and cater a tremendous meal to the entire class FREE of charge! Therefore, I had their attention from square one. Also, I volunteered to go first so that helped me gain a few friends as well. Now that Better Briefings is under my belt I will go back to my regular work station tomorrow with a pile of mail to go through, suspense letters to clear, emails to send, voice mails to return and meetings to attend—can’t wait! For some reason, I have an alternate that is supposed to take care of everything I do while I am gone; however, everything is still there when I return…peculiar, isn’t it? I really don’t mind, actually, because it keeps me busy. Word is out that next week my supervisor will be on vacation, which means I will have a semi-week of freedom and will leave for my own personal getaway next weekend…*smiles at the thought.*
