~Culture Defined~

So I was told by my dear friend, Ashley, that she is going to expose me to culture. Who knew that could happen in Podunk town?! But she is determined to do so. Yesterday, I met she and her co-workers at this Japanese Steakhouse, Taki. I arrived shortly before they did, so I decided to wait at the table for them. It is quite the hangout, to say the least! I was given the pleasure of soaking in the sites, while waiting for Ash and was able to catch a couple pictures on my phone. You will see they are of poor quality; however, I was already attracting enough attention from those around me as a young white girl who doesn't even know what saki is. Therefore, being discreet was imperative in this situation.

Technically, I have yet to try the intriguing dishes at Taki; since I had already eaten before my culture shock. However, I do know what delectable Japanese treat I will be sampling upon my return. Kim, one of Ash's co-workers, ordered
it yesterday and we nicknamed it "the drawer."

As you can see, in the picture above...there was a Sushi Bar! I had seen one on the movie "Just My Luck" and had wanted to experience it ever since! Next time, I totally plan on snappin' a picture of that :D

Ash is also attempting to expose me to another bit of culture tonight! {Picture above} I will have to let you all know how THAT goes...I told her she will have to explain what is going on the whole time :D Pictures to follow...
