MY WEEK....It scares me how busy I am...

Finally, the long awaited week was here...

For those of you who don't know, I was a part of the marketing team for the Grand Opening of the new Chick-fil-A in my area. I was very excited, for I had heard of the fun, craziness, and adventure this GRAND OPENING involved. I been warned of the amount of hours we would be working, but still didn't know quite what to expect!?!

I received my schedule for the week and read in anticipation...this is what I found:

Monday: 9am-9pm

Tuesday: 9am-9pm

Wednesday: 4pm-6am

yes, you read correctly...that was 4pm until 6am the next morning...

Maybe you are unfamiliar with Chick-fil-A Grand Openings; well, allow me to inform you-they are quite the "event of the year".

Monday and Tuesday the marketing team had the tiring task of "blitzing," not my favorite activity, but the excitement of the upcoming week gave me strength! :)

Little did we know...Monday and Tuesday would be the 2 hottest days of the year!!! I was drenched in...well sweat haha. It was rough to continue on, I'm not gonna lie. Both of those nights we had different events to entertain, serve, organize, and register over 150 people.

SIDE NOTE: { we were given a list of things to expect and be prepared for. Among this list were-comfortable shoes...seems easy enough, you say; well...this "comfortable pair of shoes" must also be close-toed [unheard of in the summer in the south], black and professional. Well, with this criteria...I came up with the best option possible.
Two days later: blisters all over my feet
hehe...praise the Lord we got to wear Sperrys during my overnight stay :D }

Wednesday was when all the fun began :) I showed up at 4pm. and I was surrounded by tents and campin' gear in the Chick-fil-A parking lot!

ANOTHER SIDE NOTE: { The first 100 people at the store, lined up, would receive Chick-fil-A free for one year. They were permitted to start lining up 24hours in advance (6am on Wed.). I later found out that there were 100 people by 10am!! So we had a lot of people to entertain allllll day and allllll night!

Until Midnight, we had a DJ and had an absolute blast dancin', playin' games, and runnin' about! We also served 3 different meals to everyone, along with random line checks to ensure everything was on the up-'n-up.
Midnight began the "quiet-time" and my friend B and I went inside to prepare for the Grand Opening in about 5 hours. We made balloon arches at 330am and prepared for the News coming the next morning around 5.
Everything after that was a bit of a blur...but I was on the news several times...of course I hid [since I hadnt gotten to brush my teeth in about 15 hours...yes, I know, TMI]
After my moments of fame, I left the store @ 8 and literally crawled in bed as soon as I got home! and didnt awake till about 4pm...

Needless to say, I am still rubbing my sleepy eyes....*Zzzz
